For the Rotterdam launch of Pick up this book we welcomed the guests with instructional sentences on simple paper strips and offered mulled wine and spiced apple tea.

We screened the video A pottery produced by five potters at once (silent attempt), by Koki Tanaka. In the film five Chinese potters make various attempts to collectively produce everyday objects of clay. The film is a minimally edited document of this event. The work, reflects lightheartedly on the, at times difficult process and negotiations, of collective decision making. To provide instant relief of muscle tension to our guests during the screening of the film we hired a chair masseur.
