On 29 September 2009 Joel Anderson and and Dora García met for a conversation on Freedoms and Choices in Zicht op Zalmhaven, that took place in TENT. Rotterdam.
Joel Anderson, is a research lecturer in philosophical anthropology, he holds a position at Utrecht University. Anderson specializes in moral psychology and social theory, and especially on issues of autonomy, agency, and normativity. Currently hes writing a new book with the working title Scaffolded Autonomy: The Construction, Impairment, and Enhancement of Human Agency.
Dora García is a visual artist. Her work deals with the creation of situations that serve to alter the traditional relationship between artist, artwork, and spectator. She questions what is real and what is fiction, often making the viewer into a protagonist as part of the work. Dora García studied Fine Arts at the University of Salamanca, Spain, and the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam, Holland. She lives and works in Brussels.
